The University of the Philippines Manila Classical Ensemble (UPMCE) is an organization consisting of people from UP Manila as well as other schools in the locality who share the same passion in playing classical instruments.
The organization usually conducts their sem-ender concerts at around April or May.

We would like to congratulate our very own President and Musical Director, Merrene Bright D. Judan, for being chosen as the Outstanding Artist of the UP Gawad Chancellor Awards 2019! 🎉🎉🎉
Judan is currently a fifth year student taking up Bachelor of Science in Industrial Pharmacy (BS IP) in the College of Pharmacy. He has been the ensemble’s concertmaster for two consecutive years. He is also a violinist of the University of the Philippines Symphony Orchestra (UPSO), the official orchestra of the University of the Philippines System with its conductor, Professor Josefino “Chino” Toledo.

ENSEMBLE REPRESENT!
The Ensemble is proud to have 3 members of it who were accepted to the University of the Philippines Symphony Orchestra (UPSO) or the so-called Orkestra ng Bayan. One of them is Claire Huang, the founder of the organization. Huang is a graduate of BS Applied Physics of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) of UP Manila. She is one of the cellists of UPSO. Also the former president (A.Y. 2018-2019), Miguel Deo Colasito, a graduate of BA Behavioral Sciences of the same college, was a cellist of UPSO. Lastly, Merrene Bright Judan, currently a fifth-year BS Industrial Pharmacy student of the College of Pharmacy (CP) of UP Manila, the current president and concertmaster of Ensemble, plays the violin at UPSO.
